Fettuccine and Bolognese are a perfect match, so here is a simple recipe for a delicious Bolognese.
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 8)
🥫500g ground beef
🥫500g ground pork
🥫1-28oz can of San Marzano tomatoes
🥫1 cup red wine
🥫1/4 cup EVOO
🥫1 bottle of passata
🥫1/2 cup of diced carrot
🥫1/2 cup diced celery
🥫1/2 cup minced onion
🥫2 thyme sprigs
🥫1 bay leaf
🥫A few parsley leaves with stem
🥫A few basil leaves
🥫1-2 tsp salt
METHOD
Heat up a heavy-bottomed pot. Add EVOO and meat. Break meat apart with a wooden spoon and let caramelize and cook. Add your veggies and cook until just soft. Add herbs, salt and cook until tender. Add wine and let the alcohol evaporate. Add San Marzano tomatoes and passata, turn the heat on low and simmer for 2.5-3 hours, or until sauce is very thick. Serve with fettuccine, top with @parmigianoreggianousa
