2026 New Year Resolution: Pursuing Our Identity in Him and Why

I cannot stress enough how vital it is going to be in 2026 to pursue our identity in Him.
He is counting on you to fulfill the works He has prepared for you in advance. These works are part of His plans not only for you, but they are part of His Kingdom framework.
If you do not pursue your identity and do not walk as a royal child of God, you cannot receive your inheritance, possess the territory He has prepared for you, or even receive what already belongs to you.
You need spiritual identity papers.
You have to know who you are, and walk in it.
The moment Esther took that step of faith and realized, “I am the queen, therefore I will present myself as such, and the king must extend his scepter toward me,” was the moment she received her breakthrough.
And that breakthrough was not just for her, it was for her entire nation.
The moment you begin to act as the royal son or daughter of God is the moment walls crumble, giants fall, and scripts are reversed.
2026 is the year you will inherit your promises, but you need to have your identification papers. Knowing who you are and walking in your identity are two very different things.
You need to embody who you are as a child and an heir.
You have to look like royalty, walk like royalty, act like royalty, talk like royalty.
This includes taking care of your body, the temple of God, and your soul and spirit.
It means changing habits and being intentional about what you eat, what you allow in through your gates, and what you release as well.
Royals have standards in every area of their lives.
What they eat.
What they drink.
What they wear.
What they watch.
What they listen to.
And who they associate with.
Being royal is a great honor, but an even greater responsibility, because we represent our King and His Kingdom.
We have standards to uphold.
You need to align yourself with the right people and stop associating with those who do not recognize the true you, who do not respect or value your authority, those who are a bad influence and those who are just plain toxic.
You need to stop acting and speaking like a pauper, like an orphan, like a "thug" and live from a place of complete trust and confidence in who God says you are, and honor your Father with your life.
But be careful, do not let your ego or your pride inflate. There is a fine line between confidence in Christ and pride. The first will give you victory over your enemies, like Mordecai. The other will make you hang from the gallows like Haman.
Walk in confidence, but stay at His feet.
This is the perfect formula to receive your Promised Land.
These are the things we must pursue in 2026 and beyond:
1. Our identity in Christ, not self-improvement or striving
2. Knowing who you are and walking in it: identity embodied, not just understood
3. Operating as sons and daughters, not orphans: inheritance flows from sonship
4. Possessing what God has already promised, not begging or forcing doors
5. Taking territory from a place of rest, obedience, and confidence, not hustle
6. Living with royal standards in body, soul, and spirit
7. Honoring your body as God’s temple: being intentional with habits, health, and stewardship
8. Guarding your gates: what you eat, watch, listen to, speak, and allow in and out
9. Aligning with the right people who recognize, respect, and honor your God-given authority and those who live sanctified themselves
10. Letting go of orphan language and pauper thinking, no more smallness or self-negotiation
11. Walking in authority without pride, but confidence in Christ, humility at His feet
12. Expecting resistance, but not fearing it, giants confirm inheritance
13. Representing the King and His Kingdom well, because royalty carries responsibility
14. Receiving inheritance through alignment, not effort
