When God Remembers, Everything Changes

The Lord has sent me today to bring hope to the person who is on the verge of giving up, right before the breakthrough.

Don't do it! Don't stop praying, don't stop believing, and don't walk away from the promise because the waiting has become painful.

I believe the Lord wants you to know today: He is remembering you.

I have shared many messages about the wilderness and the waiting, but I feel such an urgency around this one. Some of you have been waiting for so long that disappointment has begun to settle into your heart. You love God with all your heart, you still believe in His promises over your life, you are still trying to remain faithful, but deep inside you are so weary.

You've started wondering whether you heard Him correctly, whether the promise was really for you, or whether you somehow missed your moment. Proverbs 13:12 tells us that "hope deferred makes the heart sick," and prolonged waiting can wear down even the strongest faith. But The Lord Is sending me with this message to awaken your hope again.

Joseph knew what it meant to carry a promise while living through circumstances that seemed to contradict it. He was seventeen when he received the dreams that pointed toward his future, and he was thirty when he entered Pharaoh's service.

For approximately thirteen years, Joseph lived between the promise and its fulfilment. During those years he was betrayed by his own brothers, sold as a slave, falsely accused, imprisoned, and eventually forgotten by the cupbearer he had helped.

Yet wherever he found himself, he remained faithful. He prospered in Potiphar's house, and when he was sent to prison, the prison keeper entrusted him with responsibility. Joseph couldn't control where he was, but he could control how he responded to his circumstances.

Joseph had every reason to become angry and resentful. He could have allowed betrayal to define him. He could have stirred up rebellion in the prison or decided that faithfulness had brought him nothing but suffering. Instead, he continued to use his gifts, serve others, and honour God. He didn't quit simply because his surroundings no longer resembled the promise. He kept believing!

Psalm 105:19 gives us a glimpse into what God was doing during those thirteen years:

"Until what he had said came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him."

The Hebrew word translated "tested" is tsaraph, which means to refine, smelt, or purify precious metal through fire. It's the same word used throughout Scripture to describe the refining of silver and gold. I find it fascinating that it wasn't the prison that tested Joseph; it was the Word of The Lord. Every day that passed without seeing the promise fulfilled forced Joseph to decide whether he would continue believing what God had spoken.

The waiting exposed his heart and refined his character. It taught him how to lead, manage resources, exercise wisdom, resist temptation, forgive betrayal, and remain humble under pressure. The position God had prepared for Joseph required far more than the ability to interpret dreams. He needed the character and wisdom to preserve nations during a famine.

This is why waiting is absolutely essential! It cannot be skipped! We often focus on receiving the promise, while God Is focused on who we are becoming as we approach it.

A blessing can become a burden when our character, our nervous system, our minds, relationships, or our capacity are not ready to carry it. Joseph was being formed into a man who could carry authority without becoming proud, influence without seeking recognition, and power without using it to take revenge on those who had hurt him.

Not everybody knows how to remain faithful in the waiting. Israel struggled with waiting. When Moses remained on the mountain longer than they expected, they became impatient and built a golden calf. They chose something visible and controllable because trusting an unseen God had become uncomfortable. Their response to delay led them into disobedience and prolonged their wilderness.

The same thing happened with Abraham and Sarah. Instead of waiting for God's timing, they took matters into their own hands and produced Ishmael. Weariness has a way of tempting us to manufacture something God never intended for us, to return to what He delivered us from, settle for less than He promised, or make permanent decisions because of temporary discouragement.

Please don't allow a difficult season of waiting to make you abandon what God has been developing within you. Don't build an idol because the promise seems slow. Don't let bitterness take root when you may be only a few steps away from God's appointed time.

After Joseph interpreted the cupbearer's dream, he asked him to remember him when he was restored to his position. But Genesis tells us that the cupbearer forgot Joseph.

Two more years passed. Imagine that. After everything Joseph had been through, after faithfully serving in prison and helping someone else in the middle of his own suffering, he was forgotten.

Then Pharaoh had a dream that no one could interpret.

At that exact moment, the cupbearer remembered Joseph.

Genesis 41 says:

"Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they quickly brought him out of the pit. And when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came in before Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.' Joseph answered Pharaoh, 'It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favourable answer.'"

Joseph was brought out of the dungeon quickly. He shaved, changed his clothes and stood before Pharaoh. What had seemed completely stagnant for years suddenly began moving with incredible speed.

I love Joseph's response. Pharaoh had heard about Joseph's gift, yet Joseph immediately answered, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favourable answer."

Thirteen years of hardship had refined him, equipped him and humbled him. He understood that his gift came from God. He could stand before the most powerful man in Egypt with confidence while giving God all the glory.

The cupbearer had forgotten Joseph, but God had not.

The Hebrew word translated "remember" is zakar. In our modern understanding, remembering usually means recalling something we had forgotten. But Scripture never suggests that God forgets. When the Bible says that God remembered someone, it means He was acting in covenant faithfulness. He was bringing that person before Him with the intention of intervening, fulfilling His promise and moving on their behalf.

Every time God remembered someone in Scripture, something changed.

When God remembered Noah, He sent a wind over the earth, the waters began to recede, and what had seemed impossible started to shift.

When God remembered Rachel, He listened to her and opened her womb.

When the Lord remembered Hannah, years of barrenness and anguish came to an end, and Samuel was conceived.

Five years ago, the Lord gave me a message called “THE LORD IS REMEMBERING YOU, GET READY TO PUSH!”

In that message I shared that when God remembers, He acts on behalf of the one He has brought to remembrance. I also spoke about the Lord's Book of Remembrance in Malachi 3 and the king's book of records in Esther 6.

Mordecai had faithfully saved the king's life, but nothing happened. Years went by without recognition. Then one night the king couldn't sleep, so he asked for the book of records to be read.

As they read, they discovered that Mordecai had never been rewarded. What had been overlooked by people was brought into remembrance at God's appointed time, and Mordecai was publicly honoured in front of the very man who wanted to destroy him.

God knows how to cause the right person to remember your name at exactly the right time. He knows how to reopen a conversation that seemed finished, how to bring your faithfulness before people who never knew what you had done.

He knows how to release the opportunity, the provision, the connection or the instruction needed to move you out of a place where you have felt trapped and stagnant.

I felt the Lord was especially highlighting women who have been believing for a child. Some of you have carried this desire for years. You've prayed, received treatments, watched other women announce pregnancies, and tried to protect your heart from another disappointment. You may have reached the point where hoping again feels dangerous because you don't know if you can survive another letdown.

Woman, I believe the Lord wants to restore your hope, so He sent me here to share this with you.

Years ago, the Lord gave me a dream about a dear couple who had been trying to conceive for more than ten years. They were becoming discouraged and losing hope. In the dream, God showed me what was hindering the wife from becoming pregnant, but He also showed me something else. They had a little girl who was about two years old.

It took me about a week to call my friend because I felt the weight of sharing something so personal. When I finally told him the dream, he said, "Rosangela, I know God gave you this dream because what you saw is exactly what my wife has been diagnosed with, and she's receiving treatment for it."

Then he asked me, "Why do you think God gave you this dream?"

I answered, "To give you hope. You've been waiting for so long that hope deferred has made your heart sick. God wants you to believe for that little girl."

He asked me to pray for them. Holy Spirit told me to pray that within two years that little girl would be conceived. He agreed with that prayer, and that's exactly what happened.

Sometimes God gives us a glimpse of the outcome to strengthen us through the remaining part of the wait. The promise doesn't remove every difficult day, but it gives us something to hold on to while God continues working in ways we cannot yet see.

I believe that is what Joseph held onto during his wilderness season, the two dreams The Lord gave him 13 years before.

The testimony I just shared reminds me of something the Lord taught me about Kairos and Nexus, because when it is God’s appointed time and we move in alignment with Him, He brings acceleration to our circumstances. When He opens the window of opportunity, His Kairos time, and every piece of the puzzle is in place, and we take the step of faith He has been asking us to take... boom! That's when multiplication happens.

When the Lord first gave me the revelation of Kairos and Nexus, I asked Him to give me an illustration that would help me explain it in a simple way. He said, "Rosangela, think of Kairos as the time of the month when a woman is fertile. It is the window of time with the greatest potential for conception. Can a woman conceive simply because she is fertile?"

I answered, "No."

He said, "Now think of Nexus as every condition needed, for conception to happen. When Kairos and Nexus converge, and you take the step of obedience I am asking you to take, that's when multiplication happens."

That revelation completely changed the way I understood waiting.

Spiritually speaking, multiplication is the manifestation of the fruit produced within a period of time that has reached its perfect maturity in order to yield the greatest harvest. Just as there are seasons in the natural, there are seasons in the Spirit.

A baby must reach full term before it is born, and fruit must reach its perfect ripeness before it is harvested. In the same way, God allows a season to reach its fullness before bringing forth the manifestation of everything He has been producing during the waiting.

The waiting isn't empty. He is aligning people, circumstances, timing, opportunities, character and capacity so that when everything converges, multiplication happens. And I've often found that the harder the waiting, the more fruitful the harvest will be.

This word isn't only for women believing for a biological child. It's also for those who have been carrying a promise, a ministry, a business, a book, a calling, healing, restoration, or an assignment that has not yet come to birth. You've carried it privately, prayed over it, prepared for it, and remained faithful, but you still haven't seen the manifestation.

The Lord has sent me today to bring you renewed hope.

Keep believing.

Keep obeying what He has already told you to do.

Remain faithful where you are.

Let Him deal with the bitterness, fear, impatience, pride and self-reliance that the waiting may have exposed. Yield to the refining instead of resisting it. Joseph's circumstances changed suddenly, but the man who walked out of that prison had been formed over many years.

When Pharaoh called, Joseph was ready.

He was ready spiritually because he knew the interpretation belonged to God.

He was ready mentally because he could understand the problem and present a wise strategy.

He was ready emotionally because he could stand before authority without being ruled by fear.

He was ready practically because years of managing Potiphar's house and the prison had equipped him to administer an entire nation.

Nothing had been wasted, not even the cupbearer's forgetfulness.

Everything had become part of God's preparation.

When the appointed time arrived, no prison door could keep Joseph inside.

I believe God is remembering and reversing circumstances. Some of you are about to see movement in areas that have remained still for years. The people involved may have forgotten you, but God knows how to bring your name back into the conversation. He knows how to move upon hearts, change decisions, open wombs, restore opportunities, and bring hidden faithfulness into the light.

God Has not abandoned you; He Is putting the final attaches onto the work of are that He Is creating just for you. And please don't give up when you may be closer than you realize.

Just as the cupbearer remembered Joseph at the appointed moment, I believe God is arranging moments in which what has been hidden will be brought into the light. Joseph suddenly found himself outside of the pit, wearing different clothes and standing before Pharaoh. Before the day ended, he was clothed in royal garments, given Pharaoh's signet ring, and placed over all of Egypt. The same man who entered that day as a prisoner ended it as a ruler.

Only God can reverse a situation like that.

And when He does it for you, you'll know it was His hand. You'll stand as a different person because the waiting changed you. You'll carry the promise with humility because you'll remember where He brought you from. And you'll give Him all the glory because you'll know that no amount of striving could have opened the door He opened.

The Lord sent me today to tell you not to give up.

He remembers you.

Your prayers have not disappeared.

Your obedience has not gone unnoticed.

Your faithfulness has been recorded.

Your waiting has been producing something within you.

Continue to hope.

Continue to prepare.

Continue to believe that the God who remembered Noah, Rachel, Hannah, Mordecai, and Joseph is still acting on behalf of His people.

The cupbearer may have forgotten Joseph, but God had already appointed the moment when his name would be spoken again. In the same way, the people around you may have forgotten you, but God has not.

He is remembering you.

And when God remembers, He acts, and everything changes.
