IT'S NOT THE ENEMY, IT'S BRAXTON HICKS!

A few days ago, as my husband and I took our evening walk, we reflected on everything we had been experiencing lately. We shared our frustrations and wondered why we seemed to be going through the same pattern over and over again.

And the Lord spoke to me and said something that I believe will encourage those of you who are going through similar circumstances.

If you feel discouraged because you have experienced one closed door after another, one denied request after another, and opportunities that appeared promising but never came to pass, don’t be. You may be experiencing Braxton Hicks in the spirit.

That is what God told me when I asked Him why we were facing one closed door after another. Every time an opportunity appeared, our hope would rise, only to be deferred again.

I cried out, “God, why? What are You doing? What is stopping these doors from opening?”

And He said, “Rosangela, what you are experiencing in the natural is Braxton Hicks in the spirit. This is preparation for the real thing.”

Braxton Hicks are practice contractions. They create real pressure and expectation, but they do not produce the birth. They prepare the body for the real labour and delivery that are still to come.

In the same way, these closed doors and disappointments are not necessarily signs that the enemy is stopping you or that the promise will never come to pass. God Is using them to prepare every part of you for the real thing.

Your spirit, soul, and body are coming into alignment with Heaven. You are being fully equipped to carry and steward the vision, the dream, and the promise you have laboured for spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially, and physically

.

Do not look at every seemingly negative outcome as an attack from the enemy. We give him far too much credit. God is working all things together for your good and His glory.

He is conditioning you for the visibility He will bring. He is increasing your capacity so that when the appointed door opens, you will be prepared to walk through it and remain standing on the other side.

Hold fast. Lean into the pressure. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. The One who began this good work in you is faithful to perfect and complete what He started.

You are being prepared and positioned for favour, authority, expansion, and influence.
