The Prophetic Mystery of 14 & 28 | Release & Divine Alignment
People of God, on February 14th the Lord woke me with a personal word about my obedience, and the fulfillment of His promises over my life. He also spoke about my second son, born on February 14th, now 28 years old, and told me to declare Deuteronomy 28 over him, his wife, and his children as I prayed before his birthday dinner.
Deuteronomy 28 has always been a passage I return to when promises seem delayed. And that morning, the Lord highlighted the numbers 14 and 28.
In Hebrew, fourteen (yod-daleth) carries the picture of a hand opening a door, release and deliverance. It represents God opening what was shut, bringing freedom where there was confinement.
Twenty-eight (kaph-chet) carries the picture of a covering over the heart, the leading and covering of the Holy Spirit. It speaks of being guided, protected, and positioned by Him.
Fourteen is release.
Twenty-eight is Spirit-led positioning.
There is a divine sequence here: deliverance followed by Spirit-led advancement.
As I meditated on all this, He brought back to my remembrance a dream I had five years ago.

For years, finances have been one of our greatest battles. The Lord told us long ago that this would be a primary battlefield because our purpose is tied to finances.
We have big dreams!
We want to equip people to step into identity and invest into their dreams, we carry a vision to be Kingdom philanthropists and to be destiny helpers to those whom The Lord will bring to us.
In the dream, I was on a massive old, sail ship, a picture of ministry.
I was on a stage preaching, something I have never done and completely outside my comfort zone.
Suddenly, a huge fiery bull charged toward me. Angry. Violent. Intent on destruction.
I ran and hid. Through a porthole, I saw it staring with hatred.
Then I heard a gavel strike.
And the Lord declared:
“YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER HER.
YOU CANNOT TOUCH HER IN SPRING, SUMMER, FALL OR WINTER.
YOU CANNOT TOUCH HER ON MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.”
This speaks of seasons, times, and Kairos moments.
Spring, summer, fall, winter, the full cycle of seasons.
Monday through Sunday, the full cycle of time.
The Lord was not just rebuking the attack. He was establishing jurisdiction.
He was declaring that the enemy has no legal access in any season. No authority in any cycle. No power in any appointed time.
Chronos is ordinary time, days, weeks, years.
Kairos is appointed time, divine timing, strategic release, Heaven’s moment.
The verdict covered both.
The bull represented a financial predator, resistance against destiny.
But the breakthrough was connected to obedience. I was on the ship. I was preaching. I was doing what He asked. I was doing something my flesh didn't want to do.
I asked Him:" Lord what Are You saying to me?"
Then He brought Ecclesiastes 3 to my mind, which I read with my daughter a couple of days prior, during our morning devotions.
And the passage came alive in a deeper way.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to break down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh.
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.
A time to seek and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to cast away.
A time to tear and a time to sew.
A time to keep silence and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time of war and a time of peace.
I was shocked! There are 28 statements!!! 14 pairs.
Fourteen times two.
Wow!!
Once again He confirmed what He was saying!
As I went deeper into the study of the number 28, I found out that throughout Scripture, something powerful happens around the 28th mention of certain names. It is not random and it always reveals movement. Transition. Obedience under the leading of the Spirit.

Again and again, at the 28th mention of a name, there is an instruction to move, to act, to step forward.
Here are the examples:
Noah:The 28th time Noah’s name is mentioned (Genesis 8:15–16), God tells him to come out of the ark. After confinement, after waiting, after preservation, movement. Step out. A new season begins.
Abram (Abraham): The 28th mention (Genesis 14:12) occurs when Lot is taken captive. Abram must rise, pursue, and rescue. Obedience required action. Protection required movement.
Jacob: The 28th mention (Genesis 28:6) shows him being sent to Paddan-aram. He is leaving home, entering a refining season. It was uncomfortable, but Spirit-led. That journey transformed a supplanter into Israel.
Israel (Jacob renamed): The 28th mention (Genesis 48:13) is when Joseph brings his sons for blessing. This is positioning for inheritance. Alignment under divine leading.
Joseph: The 28th mention (Genesis 39:11) takes place in Potiphar’s house, a place of testing. He had to choose obedience under pressure. The Spirit-led decision preserved his destiny.
Joshua: The 28th mention (Joshua 1:10) is when he commands the people to prepare to cross the Jordan. Movement toward promise. Preparation to step into inheritance.
David: The 28th mention (1 Samuel 17:39) is when David removes Saul’s armor. He refuses to move in someone else’s covering. He steps forward led by God, not man, and defeats Goliath.
Peter: The 28th mention (Acts 10:5) is when Cornelius is instructed to send for him. Peter is about to cross cultural boundaries and open the Gospel to the Gentiles. A Spirit-led expansion.
Paul: The 28th mention (Acts 16:25) finds him in prison, singing praises. An earthquake follows. Chains fall. Yet he stays, led by the Spirit, and salvation enters that household.
Movement doesn’t always mean leaving; sometimes it means remaining when the door opens.
Again and again, the pattern is clear:
Twenty-eight marks a turning point.
A departure.
A crossing over.
A Spirit-directed step.
It is about obedience in motion.
Not striving, or forcing, but moving with the flow of The Spirit.
Responding with obedience when the Spirit says, “Now.”
When God highlights 28, He Is not just speaking about blessing, He Is speaking about alignment. About stepping out of the ark. About crossing the Jordan. About removing Saul’s armor. About singing in the prison until the chains fall.
Twenty-eight marks transition.
It marks crossing over.
It marks Spirit-directed action.
It is not just about being blessed.
It is about being led.
And when obedience moves with the Spirit, seasons shift and blessings flow.
I believe the Lord is about to release His promises over His obedient and faithful children in this season, especially concerning finances.
As we step out in obedience, the promises of Deuteronomy 28, The Blessings of Obedience, will be released over us. Hallelujah!!!

I love searching out the things of the Spirit. He is always speaking, if we have ears to hear and eyes to see.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”
Proverbs 25:2
He hides it in glory… and invites us into intimacy to find it. What a privilege.
